The best attractions surrounding the site are free, amazing walks in the country and coastal footpath, lazy days rock pooling on the local beaches, or just have fun surfing in the ocean on Perranporth’s beautiful 3 mile long sandy beach, which for your safety is patrolled by RNLI life-saving teams and the local life-saving club.
Perranporth also boasts the U.K’s only bar and restaurant on a beach, The Watering Hole.

Perranporth offers many restaurants, bars (including a Weatherspoons), surf shops, a couple of supermarkets, Post Office and Boots the Chemist. Takeaways include Indian, Chinese, Italian and local fish and chips and some great ice cream parlours. There is a Lloyds bank and several ATMs.
A mile from Ocean Meadow is a golf links which is open all year round, and has amazing views along the coastline.

There are several excellent coarse fishing lakes within easy reach, horse-riding at a local stables offering rides along the beach and local country lanes. At the local airfield you can enjoy scenic flights over Cornwall, an amazing experience!

Buses run hourly to Newquay and Truro where you catch connections to take you all over Cornwall, so if you have senior citizens bus pass it would be advisable to bring it with you.
