I feel that I must as this site is an absolute gem! The owners Yvonne and Charles are fantastic and always happy to chat, call out places to visit and help out in general. The site is perfect too, great view, spacious serviced pitches and well maintained. And then the location..... This site provides a perfect base to visit all of Cornwall and just a stones though from the fabulous beach of Perranporth. Our favourite CL by far! We cannot wait to return!

Fabulous CL experience

This was a superb experience. Host Yvonne & Charles really helpful and friendly. The site was a gorgeous field with each of the five pitches spaced out with a view of the countryside and of Perranporth beach. The pitches are level, making setting up great and electric and water on the pitch a great thing to have. Also your own dustbin ! The best walk to a toilet disposal we’ve ever seen, passing by their beautiful garden. The tow was painless , no narrow lanes, as a result a bit of road noise but the location made up for that. All in all a fabulous 15 night holiday and a very welcome change of scenery after lockdown. Felt really safe, If we come to this part of Cornwall again we’ll definitely give Yvonne a call to see if there’s space , although they do get booked up - not surprising at all. Yvonne & Lloyd

What an absolutely wonderful site this is.

It has now claimed our top spot in Britain! It is perfectly situated about a mile from Perranporth and extremely easy to find thanks to the impressive directions from Yvonne and Charles. Everything is immaculately presented and maintained by Yvonne. The site boasts some of the most stunning views we have ever had from any campsite with an amazing view of the sea and countryside. We took our bikes and the ride down to the beach was really easy. There is some traffic noise but nothing that bothered us in the slightest. We will definitely be back here again soon. This CL is a little gem & we'll worth a visit

Great tranquil setting overlooking Perranporth bay. Yvonne & Charles are delightful - their local welcome pack was extremely useful. The COVID controls were clear concise & made us feel very safe. Great site for exercising our dogs & we cycled into Perranporth each day ( but we needed our electric bikes as the hill is quite steep on the way back). A totally relaxing holiday & we will return next year. Many thanks to Yvonne & Charles for making our stay so pleasant

Everything you want from a CL

What a delight! A beautifully located CL on the outskirts of Perranporth, above the town with fabulous views. Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, we were given a warm (and safe) welcome from both Yvonne and Charles on arrival. Easily located and a straightforward tow in and onto pitch. Every attention to detail was in place in terms of cleaning and managing during these strange times. The CL is conveniently located for access to many of Cornwall's key attractions so there is a little bit of road noise from the nearby road, but nothing too intrusive. The pitches are well kept and serviced and a good size. Yvonne and Charles are knowledgeable and on hand to help with local knowledge and ideas. Would highly recommend this site and we will definitely be returning soon.

Excellent CL

We have just returned form a lovely stay here. The site is in a good position for lovely views & 15 -20 minute walk of Perranporth shops & beach, good not to have to worry about parking the car! The hardstanding pitches were great & because it was wet, they had laid a ground sheet down over our awning area, which was exceptional & appreciated. The site is well kept & our pitch had it's own water tap with disinfecting spray to hand & waste bin - a real bonus! The owners Yvonne & Charles were so friendly & accommodating & Yvonne could not have been more helpful. Outstanding! We will definitely return if we come to that part of the country again! Thank you so much.

Fab Little Gem!

This CL is just lovely. Beautiful surroundings and view of the sea. Yvonne is such a lovely friendly host, and we enjoyed many chats with her during our stay. Each pitch has its own water tap, and a bin with blacks sacks in. Hard standing for the van with grass for awning which is perfect, just how we like it. It’s within walking distance to Perranporth and a great location for visiting pretty much all of Cornwall! We took our e bikes and enjoyed some fantastic rides. One of the best was Portreath to Devoran which Yvonne told us about, well worth a go. Start with a bacon sarnie at the little cafe down the steps on Portreath beach, then head through pretty countryside to Devoran which is simply beautiful. Can’t recommend this lovely site enough and while there is some road noise, you hardly notice it after a while.

Excellent CL

I'm not one to write reviews, but had to for this site. We were lucky to book in last minute. Yvonne couldn't have been more helpful, giving great directions and coming out to greet us. They also lent us their ground sheet as the grass had been worn by a previous awning had been. Really well organised for covid, with individual bins and antiseptic sprays, and each pitch has its own water tap. The scenery is breath taking. It's a peaceful site, but with some road traffic noise, but that doesn't spoil the stay. The hardstanding is level and well drained. It's less than a mile in to town, with a hilly walk back, but there is a taxi company in town. Really couldn't fault the site, we look forward to our next stay

Fantastic Cl

We returned mid July from a 12 night stay at Ocean Meadow. Yvonne & Charles were great hosts, from the minute we arrived nothing was to much trouble for them. In these times of Covid they were very well organised, procedures were first rate. This is a fab cl, with lovely sea views over Perranporth. The pitches are well spaced and level, the set up is a credit to the owners. Best regards to Yvonne and Charles, we hope to be with you again shortly.

Warm welcome, excellent CL

Hidden little Gem

Ocean Meadow is a fabulous little CL run by a lovely couple, Yvonne & Charles. Upon arrival we were greeted at the gate & directed to our pitch. Yvonne & Charles are always at hand if you need them without being intrusive in any way. The CL has fabulous sea views of Perranporth & the pitches are of ample size with electric & water to every pitch. In light of the current COVID19 situation Ocean Meadows is very COVID secure & there is sanitizing solution provided for each pitch to use when connecting to electric/water & also at elsan & grey waste points. We would highly recommend this lovely site & its hosts. It won’t be the last time we visit Ocean Meadows. Thankyou Yvonne & Charles for your hospitality.

Fabulous little CL!

We have just stayed here for 10 nights with our 7 and 4 year, and our friendly dog Barley. Easy to access on arrival and a warm friendly introduction to the site. Nice spacious level site, so easy to set up. Lovely views and all in the sun so no damp areas. This was our first time using plumbed in water so we didn't mind not having showers. It was also our first time without toilets which was a bit of a pain but also would not stop us coming back. Some reviewers mentioned some road noise but this really didn't bother us, we only really noticed if something particularly noisy went passed which wasn't often. Our dog was under control at our caravan, and was happy to sit lazing in the sun being fussed by other campers! There was a big dog walking field which was also very nice with some lovely views. We all walked into Perranporth a few times which was nice along the foot path. There was a short (? 200metres) fast road section without pavement but but we managed fine. If coming to this area of Cornwall again we will definitely stay here, mainly because of the owner who was so helpful and friendly! Thank you so much Yvonne for making it so enjoyable and for your helpful recommendations :)

Jiffy the Motorhome

Wow what a find! Yvonne was so friendly and organised. Beautiful views. 20 mins walk to Perranporth. Fabulous place, glorious beaches which are dog friendly and so clean. Great for all sorts of sports. Coastal path to the left goes to St Angus with scenery from Poldalk. We bought some lovely gifts from the large selection of shops. We will definitely visit again for a longer holiday.

A little gem

We've passed this lovely cl many times over the years as we are frequent visitors to this area. The site is wonderfully peaceful with 5 hard standing/grass pitches. All had electric and water on the pitch. There are chemical disposal point, grey water and recycling/waste disposal facilities. There are not any toilet/washing facilities but for us this wasn't a problem as we were in the caravan. It's a relatively short walk down into Perranporth either following the road or better taking the footpath down the Cornish hedge and across a field into town. The walk back is uphill so just be aware of that. Would we go back. Yes we would.

Great CL

We had a lovely stay at Ocean Meadow. The pitches are all a great size and have fantastic views across Perranporth to the dunes, which to be honest was our main reason for booking the site in the first place. Every pitch has it's own water tap, which we found really helpful as we were using the caravan shower. Yvonne allowed us to run the dogs on the large adjacent field, which was perfect for early mornings and late nights. Perranporth is a very dog friendly town - they are allowed onto the beach and into all of the pubs that we went into. There is a bit of road noise, but it didn't detract from our stay, and is more than outweighed by the ease of access!

We have just returned from a three week stay at the wonderful Ocean Meadow. Yvonne met us on arrival with a warm welcome an updated information pack. Yvonne had also left a message on my voice mail to let us know our pitch was vacant and we could arrive earlier if we wished. The site was beautiful on arrival well kept grass,tidy pitch with hard standing. Electric hook and water for each pitch. Recycling system great and emptied daily.
Yvonne and Charles are around without being invasive for a chat or any needs you may have. Wealth of knowledge of the local area where to eat and places to see.
Very dog friendly with a field adjacent to walk dogs off the lead. This was our second year visiting Ocean Meadow and we are booked in for next year. 2017 was a wet time however we loved our stay resulting in us booking when leaving for 2018. This year had the added bonus of the weather! Our stay again was wonderful. Perranporth it self easily accessible by car or walk down liskey hill. With shops, pubs, restaurants and of course the amazing beach.
I would highly recommend a stay at Ocean Meadow, however early booking advised as this place to good to miss. Thank you Yvonne and Charles again see you 2019 !

Excellent CL

Just got back from staying on this CL, ticked all the boxes for me what a CL should be. Stunning views, central location and a lovely Cornish lady with a wealth of local knowledge who can't do enough for you. There is a bit of road noise to be fair , but look past that and the plus points far outweigh the minus points. Be sure to visit the pub at Bolingey just down the road for a real country pub selling good beer. Didn't try the food but it looked and smelt delish. Would I stay here again, you bet!

Yvonne was very kind and let us all use her attached grass meadow where we could let the dogs run off the lead. Each pitch is hard standing, has own electric, its own water tap and the most compressive recycling I've ever seen. The site is very well kept and we saw Yvonne most days as she attended to the bins etc but never once was she intrusive. The view from the site is of the sea which when the sun finally came out on week two was wonderful. This has got to be probably one of if not our favourite CL ever and To think this is the first year open is amazing!!! The only small niggles were the road noise - it didn't bother us in the slightest but may do with some people. Also our pitch (awning part) was a bit flooded in heavy rain so perhaps a further hard stand extension would help. Overall a fantastic site that is brilliantly located near to the beach and loads of attractions are within 30-40mins drive in all directions. Thank you Both for a lovely holiday.

This is a super little site and the owners Yvonne and Charles are both charming and very helpful. From my first enquiry to the day I left Ocean Meadow reluctantly behind Yvonne went over and above, giving me advice on where to stay over to break my journey and meeting me as soon as I pulled onto the site with a tourist information pack and also a bus timetable. I had my nutty spaniel with me and she was happy for him to run around in the adjacent field, just perfect for him. I only hope I can stay again next year but have a feeling they may get booked up very quickly. Well done Yvonne and Charles on your first year, which appears to have been a huge success.

Yvonne and Charles are lovely owners and very attentive to the clients and site. Situated at the top of a hill leading to Peranporth the sea and country views are stunning. The site is within a short distance by car to Perranporth and also walkable. However there is a stretch of road of approximately 300 yards to negotiate before reaching the pavement which is difficult due to fast inconsiderate drivers. There is also road noise to consider.

We have just returned from 2 1/5 week stay on this site. The owners Yvonne and Charles were so kind and helpful and very hospitable nothing was too much for them. They gave us lots of information on local points of interest and suggestions of where to go. It was a couple of minutes drive into Perranporth for surfing and ice creams, and handy for horse riding on the beach, and children's learner driving at the airport. One day our roof window blew off in the wind and Charles made a box to cover the hole overnight whilst Yvonne located a replacement roof window which we collected and fitted the next day. They put washing lines and rotary airers up whilst we were there for guest use and provided pegs and hangers. When we were leaving we struggled to get up the hill in our front wheel drive car and although Yvonne and Charles had gone out, Charles came back within minutes of ringing him to tow us out with his Landrover. It was mainly quiet, with a slightly busy road which was bearable after a couple of nights. As some of our family slept in the awning we were troubled with earwigs but we could have positioned the awning on the hard standing on another pitch so that should not affect us in future, most CL sites are all grass so that would not usually be an option. The dogs and children had the run of the field and the adjacent field when it was hay bailed. All round a pleasant, enjoyable stay with more hospitability than anywhere else we have ever stayed. Nothing was too much trouble for Yvonne and Charles. We will be back again, and we know we will have to book early, as once word is out about this site it will always be full. Thank you both and for all your help.

We recently stayed at Ocean Meadow for 2 nights. On arrival we were met by Yvonne and given a choice of pitches. All pitches have fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and face towards the sea and Perranporth itself. The amenities are ideal with electric and water on each pitch. We were travelling with our dog who was able to run in the adjoining field. Perranporth is a nice seaside town with cafes, restaurants and a very large sandy beach ideal for families. We walked down to the town but it was a bit steep walking back. There is another walk that maybe be easier but was not open at the time of our visit. We hope to be back at the end of the season as we really enjoyed our stay.

Well where do I start. The owners of this fantastic CL are the most helpful and friendly couple you will ever meet and nothing is to much trouble for them. My wife joked with Yvonne that she was going to knock on her door for a needle and cotton as she needed to repair some stitching which had come loose and the very next day a little pack with a needle and some cottons where left for us. This is above and beyond what you would expect from the owners but this kind of approach will make them and their CL a winner. Now for the CL the drive from the A30 main Cornwall road down to the site is nice and easy with good easy access in to the CL. The site sits below the owners bungalow and so is not overlooked and the views from all 5 hard standing large pitches are stunning looking over Perranporth bay. There is also a water connection to each pitch which is handy. Perranporth itself is literally just a right turn out of the site and down the hill so you could easily take a stroll down if you so wish. This will be one of our regular sites which we will be returning to year on year from now on and I know we will have to book early as this site which at the moment is quite new but will become a very busy site once the word gets out. The site is child and dog friendly so will become popular. Keep up the good

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Ocean Meadow. I can highly recommend staying at this beautiful site with stunning sea views. Our three children and Labrador were delighted to have lots of space to play, and only five minutes from Perranporth beach. We were made to feel very welcome by owners who had terrific local knowledge. The site was well maintained with generous pitch size, and even includes electric and water hook-ups in the price. There was excellent mobile reception, we were able to access the internet via our mobile providers (Three). Ocean Meadow is by far the best site we have stayed at and have already booked to go back in August.
